The beverage pairings worked really well with the meal, and the service was excellent! We've eaten at all the best restaurants in Chicago but haven't enjoyed any of them as much as we did Acadia. We went to celebrate our 40th Anniversary at this now Michelin Star restaurant. We were greeted with menu's printed just for us and a glass of champagne. The taster menu was incredible. The wine pairing was good, but not at the same level as the food.
Be prepared to pay a pretty penny; you pay for what you get, and her you get friendly knowledgeable service and wonderful food.
This was our second time in Acadia. We drove 2 hours one way from West Lafayette, IN. The first time the food was outstanding, this time we liked only "risotto" and salmon, we weren't impressed with beet salad and venison.
The beet salad lacked flavor. Venison - the meat itself was excellent, but I felt that it wasn't enough vegetables. The baked apple dessert was excellent. We loved free goodies at the end of dinner - delicious! The bread service is eliminated! It appears to be a general trend among many restaurants, why? Some dishes are so go that I want to wipe my plate clean. Overall experience was excelllent, but for haphazard service.
There were long periods of inattendance. We didn't get our first round of drinks until almost 20 minutes after we were seated. Servers were all knowledgeable and friendly; just not around enough. Great personable service from everyone. It was a special anniversary and everyone went out of their way to wish us happy anniversary. I brought my husband here for date night since it is in our neighborhood and we had never tried it before. The portions are on the small side, but the food was phenomenal.
Service was impeccable e. We notified him of the error, but said since the lobster looked good, we would just eat it instead. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. The drinks were great and potent. All in all, a great experience and we will definitely return. We had a great time and the food and service were outstanding.
It's right in our neighborhood and we're happy to know about it. We had six small courses and there was enough food without being too much. Each course was a delicious, artistic presentation.
We'll be going back. Went and had then tasting menu. I can only saw that it was some of the best food I have ever had. The service was amazing. The staff isvery versed on everything and made us feel like we were the only ones in the bbuilding.
The food was amazing. Limited menu but everything on it was fabulous. Two interesting vegetarian choices - often hard to find at locally sourced restaurants. Excellent service. Food was so so. If you like small portions, with dots of flavors, and lettuce, then this is your place.
I could have eaten my meal in four bites. Service was attentive. Great place- wonderful service- attentive but not intrusive. Outstanding food. Didn't have enough time to try the tasting menu but will definitely return. This is a great place for a date night or going out with a group.
The presentations were beautiful and tasty. The service was excellent. In a city filled with "high end" restaurants such as Next, Alinea, Schwa, etc. From the decor to the spices on the plate, Acadia solidly represents the Northeastern flavors, predominantly the sea, and shows off their confidence through the tastefully simple decor.
Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, the quality of meats, produce is of extremely high standards. Their execution on each dish is impeccable, yet not overly playful to the point were ingredients are so reconstructed that there's more chemical than anything else.
Overall, one of the best if not the best restaurant in Chicago. Food was outstanding, but portions were too small. All 3 of us were still hungry after the chef's tasting menu. Creative and flawlessly executed food and service! The dining room is lovely and very comfortable with the tables widely spaced. It is also quiet enough to have a conversation at a normal voice level.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. But the portions were ridiculously small. We ordered from the a la carte menu rather than the tasting menu, and while we did not expect huge portions, we also did not expect portions that looked like they were made for a child's tea party. There was also an amuse which was a quenelle of steak tartare on a round of bread about half the size of a Ritz cracker, and one delicious, but tiny, biscuit per person.
After an appetizer, main course and dessert per person, we left hungry. Elegant, imaginatively conceived dishes with a narrative. Perhaps the most professional waitstaff we have ever seen. Seafood and shellfish products will mostly be sourced from the area in Maine where Chef McCaskey spent his summers, but also which happens to be a source to some of the highest quality shellfish in the world. All reservations for al fresco dining are weather-permitting. If inclement weather occurs, you are welcome to reschedule, availability permitting. If it rains during the duration of dining experience, we will package your meal to-go for you. Currently, we are restricting dining time to 2 hours per party.

Navy turtlenecks may be worn under polo, but polo cannot be taken off during the school day. White undershirts ONLY may be worn under the polo. Students who violate the uniform policy shall be subjected to the following consequences:.
In-school suspension - for the remainder of the day. All offenses thereafter: out-of-school suspension until recommendation for expulsion.
Students who transfer into Acadia Parish shall be allowed two 2 weeks to purchase uniforms and comply with the policy. Special "dress up days" may be approved by the principal.
