Not a whole lot nearby with regard to entertainment but there's also a great little hole-in-the-wall sushi place called Kanpai that produces food that's much better than you might expect from the area it's in and from Phx sushi in general. I did a lot of research before moving in here and I defy you to find a better deal on space, amenities, and community in the immediate vicinity.
Obviously, having a single family home would be nice, but the quality you get from these condo's and the overall "newness" of it compared to similarly priced SFH's is a great trade off imho.
